For you who watched The Blair Witch Project on 1999, will found out that this movie happened to be the sequel of the previous and here we’ve met James Donahue, brother of Heather Donahue – the girl who’s missing in 1999’s The Blair Witch Project.

James finds a video that uploaded at Youtube which convinced him that the figure shows at the mirror was his big sister, Heather. He contacted the person who made the uploaded and got the info that the guy found abandoned camera on the forest and it contain the record he finally uploaded. James was one hundred percent sure that was Heather so he asked three of his friend to comes to the searching mission inside Blair Witch forest, the woods near the nearest town called Burkittsville. Along with them was the local guy named Lane who uploads the video online and his girlfriend, Talia.

To be honest, the movement between the scene really scaring but also bothering because it used loud noise of rustling sound of camera being on-off…it got me once but when it used almost at the most scene movement then it became really annoying…

Like any other teenage horror movie, the crew telling the scary story about ancient myth of Blair Witch forest when they take a night in the woods. Once told that there was a woman who accused to be a witch and drags by village people to the woods. They hang the woman and left her to die so she cursed the place since then. They heard loud noise in the middle of the night and experienced the weird when they realized that they take a very long nap until two o’clock in the afternoon. Not just that, there are also many strange stick figures hanging outside their tent.

They got argued when Lisa noticed about twine at Lane’s backpack. The emotional Peter shouted at them to leave the group after they admit that it was them who make the strange stick figures. The group separated in two. After several hours of walking James and his friend realized that their GPS was being inaccurate and they’re just circling around the woods. They got frustrated when they came back to the place where they camp last night.

James, Peter, Lisa, and Ashley have to take another night there because the sundown and Ashley’s condition was not being well after she had little accident at the river the day before. The wound had to take care of and she had to rest more. Lisa flying the drone in order to find the way to get out of the woods but unfortunately the drone crashed on the tree top.

The night became even worse when Peter went missing after he struck down by tree when he was looking for firewood. Lane and Talia came back to the camp site and they act like lunatic. Lane run away but Talia decided to stay with James and the other. Once again Lisa realized there’s something wrong with the forest because she set the clock alarmed at seven in the morning but apparently the situation still dark outside the tent.

Ashley went crazy when they’re finds strange stick figures hanging everywhere once again, and this time there are more than yesterday and moreover Peter is still missing. She thinks Talia was making fun again of them so she took one of the stick figure from Talia’s hand. Ashley breaking the stick that had Talia’s hair that wrapped around it and the three of them shocked to see Talia’s body was also broken in two like the stick at Ashley’s hand.

The condition became chaos when they realized that they were chasing by invisible thing and they got separated. I felt a little dizzy to see such closed range shot that snapped through each them. One other thing, I know they frustrated from being lost at the woods but I really confused the purpose of Ashley who got wounded on her leg but still trying to climb the tree so high just to get the drone. Well, we know what could happen to her at the end, right?

For James and Lisa, they finally reach the abandoned house in the midst of the woods that they’ve been looking for. James was so excited when he sees the shadows from the window who he thinks as Heather, so he ran out to the house, leaving Lisa alone outside the house. Standing under the rainstorm and realizing that she’s been watching makes Lisa decided to follow James and both suffered horrified experiences in the house.

Well, if you expected to see the figure of the witch that said she’s taken the soul of the living by looking on their eye, well you won’t because you will only see the figure of a shadow or flashing creature that making hell of scarring moments. And beware if suddenly you hear a voice from a person that you think you know because the witch already got into you…
