There are at least three movies with title of Intruders; Intruders of 2011 that cast by Clive Owen; The Intruders of 2015 that cast by Miranda Cosgrove, and Intruder of 2016 that cast by Louise Linton.  If I got time I’ll write all of them, perhaps, but now how about focusing on this one…

The film title is also well-known as Shut In, it’s about a young girl names Anna who got Agoraphobia and locked herself in her house after her brother died. Anna was taking care of her brother, Conrad, who suffered pancreas cancer and never leave the house because she had Dan who always brought her delivery food every day and becomes her best friend. After Conrad passed away, Dan came to her house to deliver her ordered as usual but she broke down. After some conversation Anna showing him stack of money that left by her long gone died father and asked him to take it but he refused.

Shamefully Dan told about Anna’s money to his friends’ so on the day of Conrad’s funeral, the three of them went to Anna’s house and break into it in order to steal the money. But they were surprised to see her at the house and the fact that she can leave the house even when she got the chance. They can’t make her told about where she hides the money and one of them said that they can’t leave her alive.

When Dan came to Anna’s house as usual, the thieves, who are his own friends, restrained him and started to search the house for the money. But she’s able to escape and kills one of the thieves names Vance. She dragged him to the basement as bait. While the other two thieves got into the basement and look for their friend Anna trapping them there by switching the switch which retract the staircase.

Well, it becomes more interesting because the victim is turn place as the one who hold the power…and apparently the house has everything she need to put them as a toy…

Anna confronts Dan who admits that he’s the one that told Vance about the money but he never intended the robbery. She broke his finger and throws him into the basement which dislocating his knee in the fall. Using the surveillance system, Anna lures J.P into separate room and locks him in. While Perry find a rock and break the lock in attempt to escape, Anna sneaks into the basement and killed him to death. Dan attempts to escape also but he finds a body in a freezer, after that she caught him and put him in the same room as J.P

The situation getting more complicated and both found out that the girl who looks innocent and weak turned out to be horrified…

As Anna watches J.P and Dan, J.P deduces the situation where he guessed Conrad was a serial killer who lured his victim into the basement and killed them there, while Anna was watching as the audience. She confirms this but clarifies that all of their victims were child molesters, as was Anna and Conrad’s father, the first victim of theirs.

Anna who liked Dan promise to let him go only if he killed J.P and reveal him a gun with single bullet only, but J.P grabbed it first and pointing the gun at Dan so she had to unlock the door. J.P and Dan tried to escape the house but it was J.P who came back to the house and pours a gasoline to burn the house down because he knew Anna couldn’t get out from it psychologically and he intent to avenge the death of his little brother, Vance, and her friend Perry.

Anna realized this and attack J.P, but could she won the fight against a fine muscle male who like to box? So you have to watch it yourself…
